Danube Watch:

Danube Watch is the official magazine of ICPDR, the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River. It reports on current issues affecting the Danube Basin, and on action taken to deal with challenges in the river basin. This issue includes the following key articles:

  • Working to meet the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive. Nearly two years ago the Danube River Protection Convention went into force for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since then, the country has faced the challenges of integrated river basin management as an equal member in the ICPDR family.

ENMaR Newsletter

A quarterly magazine produced by the Environment Agency as a hard copy and available in pdf format on the Agency’s website. This issue covers a range of environmental topics, focussing on ‘Communities: how sustainable can our towns and cities be’.  The article ‘Water map’ shows southeast in the red deals with recently published region-by-region breakdown, which shows where water resources are under the most pressure from shortages. ‘A greener shade of grey’ discusses The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution (RCEP) 26th report ‘The Urban Environment’ published in March 2007. It strongly advocates the need for a rounded and green approach to urban planning.
